Skyharbour Resources has announced that its partner company, Mustang Energy, has initiated the 2025 field exploration programme at the 914W Uranium Project in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The 914W Project is strategically located 48km south-west of Cameco’s Key Lake Operation, covering 1,260ha.

The field programme will include surface prospecting activities such as detailed rock and soil sampling to identify potential zones of mineralisation and alteration. These efforts aim to inform future exploration phases including geophysical surveys and drilling.

Mustang Energy can earn a 75% interest in the project by fulfilling certain conditions including share issuance, cash payments and exploration expenditures over three years.

Mustang Energy CEO Nick Luksha said: “We are excited to launch our first field programme of the summer at 914W.

“The project area has encouraging geological features, and our upcoming work is designed to generate meaningful results that will guide the next phases of exploration.”

Skyharbour’s extensive portfolio in the Athabasca Basin includes more than 614,000ha of uranium exploration projects.

Furthermore, the company is benefitting from the improving uranium market and holds a 100% interest in the Moore Uranium Project, acquired from Denison Mines, a significant shareholder in the company.

The Moore Project, near Denison’s Wheeler River project and Cameco’s McArthur River mine, features high-grade uranium mineralisation at the Maverick Corridor.

Adjacent to Moore is the Russell Lake Uranium Project, where Skyharbour operates with joint venture partner RTEC.

This project has shown widespread uranium mineralisation with exploration upside potential.

Skyharbour is actively advancing these projects with exploration and drilling programmes.

Additionally, Mustang Energy obtained permits for exploration at the Ford Lake Project, also located in the Athabasca Basin, last October.

The permits, valid from 1 September 2024 to 30 September 2027, allow for various exploration activities over the project’s 7,743ha area.
