Diaverum Malaysia has taken full ownership of the IMU Dialysis clinic, signifying an expansion of its renal care services in the country.

Following the acquisition, the clinic has been renamed Diaverum Renal Services and is situated in Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur.

Diaverum Middle East and Asia chief operating officer Ziyad Kabli said: “The integration of Diaverum Renal Services into our clinic network reinforces our commitment to transforming renal care and growing our offering in Asia, a region with a high prevalence of chronic kidney disease.

“Our holistic care approach, combined with our digital infrastructure and innovative solutions, will enable us to deliver world-class, personalised care to more patients in need.”

The facility is equipped with 12 dialysis stations and can treat up to 72 patients.

The main services offered at Diaverum Renal Services include haemodialysis and the coordination of multidisciplinary care through specialist teams.

Diaverum Southeast Asia and Kazakhstan general manager Amantur Ryskulov said: “The acquisition of IMU Dialysis marks a major milestone as our first-ever acquisition in Malaysia since entering the market.

“While we have been managing this clinic operationally for the past 11 years, this move represents a formal investment in the local market. It strengthens our footprint in the region and reinforces our long-term vision for sustainable growth in Southeast Asia.

“We are proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone involved in the process. This is an exciting new chapter for Diaverum Malaysia.”

With the addition of Diaverum Renal Services, Diaverum Malaysia now operates three clinics in the country, employing 25 staff members who provide essential renal care to 165 patients.
